Keurig has amazing single cup brewers. I enjoyed my previous generation one for a long time. However I needed somehign that can do more, and provide a deeper stronger brew. This unit was the answer.Previous k-cup unit tend to produce a weaker brew. The Vue with V-cups does not suffer from that. You can select yoru brew strength, and that really works. Even with medium blend coffee's, you get a rich, full body, strong cup of coffee when you select strong as the strength on the touch panel.Brew over ice (lowers temp), 2 step café brewing for the special coffee blends (latte's and more). You can set the time the unit turns on in the am, and off. Change the temperature setting, and more.This brewer is amazing. The con is it doesn't use regular k-cups, but V-cups are a better choice for picky coffee drinkers. THey are available at all major stores.Say good bye to weak coffee and hello to coffee perfection.

Had the base model Keurig for 18 months and then it quit. Did a lot of research looking for one that would last (including other brands like Cuisenart) before selecting this one.On the plus side:- very well made- heavy duty, long power cord- large capacity water tank- can brew several sizes up to 18 oz- can do coffee, cocoa, tea, iced tea, and cafe drinks (latte, cappuccino)- machine has smart pump that mixes pressure, air, temp according to the kind of drink you are making, where k-cup machine does everything the same way- vue cups are recyclable! K-cup are not and are filling landfills by the billion.- pump is pretty quiet- touch screen is very easy to use and works great- removable tray at base of cup to suit larger go-cups, etc- coffee tastes better to me than standard k-cup machine. Vanilla Latte is a favorite of mine it's delicious!Negative:- vue cups are slightly more expensive (but make better drinks and can be recycled)- price of the V1255Conclusion:The v1255 is worth the cost, its extremely well built, full featured and works great. Makes great tasting beverages. Shop around for best price, I got mine for $229 from Office Depot if Amazon currently does not have the best price.At that price this is no more expensive than the best k-cup machine - with better technology and features.

I purchased the V1255 machine over the Vue700 home model because it seemed to be built better after reading the product description. When it arrived, I was very pleased and immediately felt that I made the right decision. My Keurig Vue Small Office brewer is really easy to operate right out of the box. Via the easy to read touch screen menu, it walks me through which kind of beverage I would like, whether it be a basic or strong cup of coffee or an impressive cup of Cappuccino complete with "frothy" topping as well as what size I preferred for that brew cycle. I purchased a Vue machine because our usual coffee cups at home are an over sized 18oz mug and I love them. With our other Keurig Special Edition K-65, K-Cup machine, I had to brew both a large & medium sized cup to get a cup of whatever my fancy desired. The Vue, I could just do a single brew and I was good to go. (largest brew cycle is 18oz) Now that being said, if I wanted a specialty drink like a Vue Hot Cocoa, Chai Tea or Cafe drink, I am only limited to an 8oz or 10oz size maximum. I like that I can make a hotter brew for myself and a not so hot one for my spouse who normally likes an ice cube in his to cool it down. The machine has a larger water reservoir than my K-65 and has a flip top tab for easy re-filling or you can remove the whole water storage container for easy rinsing. The machine has Auto on/off for quick water heating if you desire to set the timer or you can just leave it on for 24/7 availability where it can be ready and waiting for your next beverage craving or hot water need. This machine is a bit bigger than my K-65. Our kitchen cabinets have 18" of clearance space between the counter top and the bottom of our cabinets and the V1255 fits perfectly in this space and that's with the Vue Cup lever in the "up" (open) position. The removable drip tray is made up of two pieces, one is a shiny silver upper that wipes up nicely and the lower is a matte black. Both pieces are easy to slide out and clean. The cord is quite long for a small appliance and has a typical sized three pronged plug. (I mention the plug size because it's apparently an issue with the V700.) I was able to lift and tape it under our cabinet and back down again behind the unit which sits approximately 18" away from the plug. The machine brews a drink in about under 30 seconds and can be a bit loud. Not like an airplane taking off in your kitchen, loud or loud enough to drown out a conversation but loud enough to get your attention. I bought the Solo refillable filter meant to be used for the V500/V700 units ( http://tinyurl.com/Solofill-Refillable-Filter ) and it works fine, just be sure that the lid is completely closed. The reason I gave this unit 4 stars has nothing to do with the unit itself but everything to do with the lack of selection of beverages to brew with it. Even here on Amazon, the lack of selection and no Subscribe & Save option is really frustrating as I like to have a good stock available. I found some Vue cups at our local Bed Bath and Beyond and there was an even smaller selection available at Kohls but with the Vue being out for quite awhile now and they're STILL difficult to find, I'm thinking this unit and therefore it's Vue Cups may be phasing out. I miss the selection and convenience of finding K cups at our local grocery stores and even some of the bigger drug stores. Finding Vue Cups in your local stores is like trying to find a favorite holiday flavored coffee in July.
